Suitland centers on the federal complex along Silver Hill Road, the Census Bureau and its sister agencies, with established neighborhoods of brick homes and garden apartments running back toward Suitland Parkway and Branch Avenue.
Many Suitland homes carry older slabs poured before vapor barriers were standard, so our work here starts with readings. Where the numbers run high, a mitigation barrier goes into the scope as its own line before any finish is discussed.
A Suitland basement showed efflorescence along the walls and readings well above coating limits. We ground the slab, applied a full coverage vapor barrier, and finished with a warm gray flake system. The lower level became a dry, usable family space, with the readings recorded in the project file.
Tell us about your Suitland floor and any damp signs, and we will come out to test the slab and report real numbers.
